So, here’s what we know. We know that Hawks are young and talented. We know that they can score. We know they they can rely on the Bulin wall.
Here’s what else we know. One of our top D men is injured. One of our goal scorers has a concussion. Our big name, six foot five marquee signing is hobbled. Our depth will be tested tonight.
Oh yeah, one other thing. They spanked our bums last game.
And one other thing. We have only lost one game so far and I know we can play better. I know that we have faced adversity as a team this year and came out much stronger for it. I know we have a good team.
I think the Hawks have gained a certain amount of deserved confidence…but I believe they could be over-confident. Just cause they scored six last game, doesn’t mean that we can’t turn in a defensive gem tonight and shut them down. And we are also capable of scoring in bunches as well.
So, what to expect tonight?
Well, certainly a better effort. We have faced adversity before and I trust the lesson we’ve learned. And I really don’t think that the Hawks have experienced much adversity. Let’s see how they respond when they inevitably have to face it.
There’s not much left to be said.
We don’t have to dwell on the past.
We don’t need to look too far into the future.
We don’t have to worry about getting a split in Chicago.
We only have to worry about the one game in front of us.
